A rare tattoo now adorns Rose's neck, a mark that says she's killed far too many Strigoi to count. But only one victim matters . . . Dimitri Belikov. Rose must now choose one of two very different paths: honoring her life's vow to protect Lissa—her best friend and the last surviving Dragomir princess—or, dropping out of the Academy to strike out on her own and hunt down the man she loves. She'll have to go to the ends of the earth to find Dimitri and keep the promise he begged her to make. But the question is, when the time comes, will he want to be saved?

Now, with everything at stake—and worlds away from St. Vladimir's and her unguarded, vulnerable, and newly rebellious best friend—can Rose find the strength to destroy Dimitri? Or, will she sacrifice herself for a chance at eternal love? -goodreads

And she dared to defy Queen Tatiana, leader of the Moroi world, risking her life and reputation to protect generations of dhampir guardians to come.

Now the law has finally caught up with Rose - for a crime she didn't even commit. She's in prison for the highest offense imaginable: the assassination of a monarch. She'll need help from both Dimitri and Adrian to find the one living person who can stall her execution and force the Moroi elite to acknowledge a shocking new candidate for the royal throne: Vasilisa Dragomir.

Review : Touch of Frost by Jennifer Estep

Title : Touch of Frost (Mythos Academy #1)
Author : Jennifer Estep
Published : August 1st 2011 by K-Teen
My name is Gwen Frost, and I go to Mythos Academy; a school of myths, magic and warrior whiz kids, where even the lowliest geek knows how to chop off somebody's head with a sword and Logan Quinn, the hottest Spartan guy in school, also happens to be the deadliest. But lately, things have been weird, even for Mythos. First, mean girl Jasmine Ashton was murdered in the Library of Antiquities. Then, someone stole the Bowl of Tears, a magical artifact that can be used to bring about the second Chaos War. You know, death, destruction and lots of other bad, bad things. Freaky stuff like this goes on all the time at Mythos, but I'm determined to find out who killed Jasmine and why; especially since I should have been the one who died... -goodreads
Mythology book. My first one.

I read this book without read the summary. From the "Academy" title, I expected it to be like Vampire Academy, which I really like. Apparently, this is a book about gods, goddesses and warriors.

Title : Lies Beneath (Lies Beneath #1)
Author :

Calder White lives in the cold, clear waters of Lake Superior, the only brother in a family of murderous mermaids. To survive, Calder and his sisters prey on humans and absorb their positive energy. Usually, they select their victims at random, but this time around, the underwater clan chooses its target for a reason: revenge. They want to kill Jason Hancock, the man they blame for their mother's death.

It's going to take a concerted effort to lure the aquaphobic Hancock onto the water. Calder's job is to gain Hancock's trust by getting close to his family. Relying on his irresistible good looks and charm, Calder sets out to seduce Hancock's daughter Lily. Easy enough, but Calder screws everything up by falling in love--just as Lily starts to suspect there's more to the monster-in-the-lake legends than she ever imagined, and just as the mermaids threaten to take matters into their own hands, forcing Calder to choose between them and the girl he loves.

One thing's for sure: whatever Calder decides, the outcome won't be pretty -goodreads

Another Weird Dream [ft. 2ne1]

Just another old weird dream I had. This one featuring 2ne1, a girlgroup singer from Korea. They are wellknown for their unique personality. You can watch their daily life in their TV shows called 2ne1 TV. There are videos with English subtitle available online.

2ne1. From left to right : Minzy, CL, Bom, Dara.

In my dream I was 2ne1's friend. I was chit chat-ing with them during their break time. We were in a room that full with their clothes, maybe that was their dressing room. They all wore casual outfit like what they wear when they are practicing.

I talked to Dara first. We went to an aisle outside their dressing room and talked there. I don't remember what we talked about before. What I remember we talked about how we celebrate birthday in Indonesia. Of course I talked to her with my broken Korean. Hehe

This morning on my way to work suddenly I remembered my weird dream I had almost 2 years ago. I think I had this dream when I was addicted to a Korean variety show called We Got Married where Jo Kwon of 2AM and Gain of Brown Eyed Girls (BEG) appeared as couple. I posted it in my old blog, but I want to share it again here. I'm still laughing and shaking my head thinking How could I had such a weird dream when I remember it.

For you guys who don't know who Brown Eyed Girls is, they are a female singer group from South Korea. One of the member, Gain, recently appeared in Psy's "Gentleman" music video.

Title : Dead Beautiful (Dead Beautiful #1)
Author : Yvonne Woone

On the morning of her sixteenth birthday, Renée Winters was still an ordinary girl. She spent her summers at the beach, had the perfect best friend, and had just started dating the cutest guy at school. No one she'd ever known had died. But all that changes when she finds her parents dead in the Redwood Forest, in what appears to be a strange double murder.

After the funeral Renée’s wealthy grandfather sends her to Gottfried Academy, a remote and mysterious boarding school in Maine, where she finds herself studying subjects like Philosophy, Latin, and the “Crude Sciences.”

It’s there that she meets Dante Berlin, a handsome and elusive boy to whom she feels inexplicably drawn. As they grow closer, unexplainable things begin to happen, but Renée can’t stop herself from falling in love. It’s only when she discovers a dark tragedy in Gottfried’s past that she begins to wonder if the Academy is everything it seems.

Little does she know, Dante is the one hiding a dangerous secret, one that has him fearing for her life.

Singaporean Elderly, The Unknown Heroes

Have you ever thought what will you be or you do when you are in your 60s, 70s or maybe 80s? You have worked hard on your young age with a goal to enjoy what you have in your old days. Maybe you picture yourself enjoying your retired days, traveling the world, sit on a beach bent somewhere far away from your home country enjoy the sunset or a simple one, you just relaxing at your house reading your favorite books and watching your grandchildren play around happily. I do have those pictures in my head.

A couple days ago, I just went back from my short vacation to Singapore. When I was there, the thing that quite gave me a shock was the Singaporean elderly who are still working in their 60s to 80s. They are cleaning tables and dustbins, sweeping and mobbing the floor, collecting rubbish, even cleaning the toilets. I know that there is a regulation in Singapore that said those kind of jobs are only for the elderly, but isn't break your heart when you see these pictures?
